ROXIE — Graveside services for Bill Hunt, Jr., 68, of Ferriday, who died April 17, 2020, at River Regional Medical Center, Vicksburg, will be held Thursday, April 23, at 1 p.m. at Hunts Cemetery in Roxie. Services are entrusted to Concordia Funeral Home.

He was born July 9, 1951, the son of L.J. and Hattie Adams Hunt.

Mr. Hunt was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, one sister, grandparents, one grandson, uncles; mother-in-law, Rosie Gordon.

Bill leaves to cherish his precious and fond memories his beloved wife, Bettie Jean Hunt, Ridgecrest, LA; eight sons, James Proby (Constance), Machiael Thompson, both of Natchez, MS, L.J. Proby (Katina), Pensacola, FL, Shonrell Calvin (Trina), Frederick Carter (Rhonda), Zachery Robinson (Kizzy), Anthony Smith (Casey), Bill Hunt, Jr., De’Andrew Calvin, all of Natchez, MS; two daughters, Kila Blanton (Michael), Natchez, MS, Vera Sims, Milwaukee, WI; eight sisters, Mattie “Easter” Covington (Bennie), Verena Bowie (Marshall), both of Roxie, MS, Schan McCants (Ricky), Katy, TX, Keisha Green, Nila Green, Lawanda Buchanan, all of Natchez, MS, Lisa Conners, Lorraine Johnson, both of Ferriday, LA; five brothers, Dennis Hunt (Sandra), Roxie, Broderick Green, Lorenza Green, both of Natchez, Maurice Conners, Ferriday, LA, LJ Conners, Chicago, IL; fifty grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; two uncles, Jimmy Ethel (Ethel), Leroy Miller (Ernestine); a special friend and brother-in-law, Larry Gordon; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends whom he loved and cherished so dearly.
