Local cyclists Allen Richard, Curtis Moroney and Tate Hobdy gave residents a reason to get out of their houses and exercise Wednesday.
While donning masks and observing the proper social distancing, the three men set up a pop-up bicycle repair shop in front of Natchez Brewing company Wednesday to help clean and repair bikes for residents.
The trio offered their services for free — although they accepted food and drink donations. Riders were charged for parts, if they were necessary.
The impromptu shop was a way to encourage local residents to get out of the house and get some exercise by riding their bikes along the bluff and in area neighborhoods.
Wednesday the group serviced 15-17 bikes. Because of the enthusiastic response, another pop-up shop is being planned for the future. Details of the next event will be posted on the Natchez Bicycle Club Facebook page.
