Catahoula Parish resident dies of COVID-19, Louisiana health officials say

The death of a 38-year old Catahoula Parish resident was among the four deaths related to COVID-19 reported Friday by Louisiana health officials. All four residents who died Friday had underlying medical conditions, officials said.
No cases of COVID-19 were reported in Catahoula Parish Friday before the death of the Catahoula Parish resident was announced by the Louisiana Department of Health. No information was given about where the resident was at the time of his/her death.
Two more deaths were reported Saturday, A total of 16 Louisiana residents have died of COVID-19, state officials said Saturday.
There are 585 known cases in Louisiana, with the majority of them, 353, in Orleans Parish. The death toll in the city of New Orleans stands at 12.
