NATCHEZ — Services for Eulilia “Teet” Stroud, 91, of Natchez, who died Thursday, March 12, 2020, in Alexandria, will be 1 p.m. Tuesday March 17, 2020, at Natchez Church of God with Rev. Brian Monehan officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday March 16, 2020, at Natchez Church of God and noon until service time Tuesday, March 17, 2020, at the church.
Mrs. Stroud was born March 18, 1928, in Franklin County, the daughter of Leon Porter and Alice Pearl Gammill Porter.
She was a member of McNeely Road Church of God. “Teet” loved children and pink petunias. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She always had snacks in a special drawer for her grandchildren. One of her greatest pleasures was to listen to her children sing.
Mrs. Stroud was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Willie E. Stroud; brother, Ned Porter; sister Faye Scott; and great granddaughter, Meiah Grace Brown.
Survivors include her children; Peggy Holifield, Jimmy Stroud and wife Diane; Debby Miley; Donna Tucker and husband Danny; grandchildren, Stephen Holifield, Chris Holifield, Kimberly Burchfield, Heather Stroud, Wes Stroud, Amber Walsworth, Megan Nunez, Micah Miley, Philip Tucker, and Courtney Tucker; great-grandchildren, Stevie and David Holifield, Jacob Riley, Olivia and Evelyn Holifield, C.J. Burchfield, Taylor Hulsey, Bailey and Warren Stroud, Theia Grace Walsworth, Judah Asher Nunez, and Aubree Tucker. Special niece Laverne Scott Cupstid; Doxy puppy Miley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to the emergency room staff at Merit Hospital Natchez and the third-floor telemetry staff at Rapides Regional Medical Center for all of their compassionate care for our beloved Mother.
Pallbearers will be Stephen Holifield, Chris Holifield, Wes Stroud, Micah Miley, Philip Tucker and Hunter Walsworth.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the ALS foundation or Natchez Church of God.
