Adams County Christian School will be closed for students on Monday.
ACCS Headmaster David King notified parents via email Friday of the closure and other steps the school is taking to address COVID-19.
“As we continue to monitor the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, our school has been in contact with several peer schools, local government and healthcare officials as well as the Midsouth Association of Independent Schools (MAIS) staff,” King said.
Based on the information gathered King said school has been canceled for students on Monday. No daycare/aftercare will be provided, and any other school-related events scheduled for Monday are also canceled.
King said the staff and faculty will meet Monday morning to discuss “awareness, preventative measures and other important information.”
King said school will resume on Tuesday absent any further developments or announcements.
“We will continue to monitor any developments with COVID-19 in consultation with health care professionals as well as our local government officials,” King said. “The safety of all ACCS students, your children, continues to be our top priority.”
