NATCHEZ — Natchez residents will have the opportunity to see some of the top female professional golfers play when the Women’s All Pro Tour comes to Beau Pre County Club on March 17-20 for the Taco Bell Natchez Golf Classic.
“The membership at Beau Pre is excited to be hosting a Women’s All Pro Tour event this year,” said David Harris, the president of the Beau Pre Board of Directors. “This will be the first professional women’s event ever held in Natchez.”
The field for the Women’s All Pro Tour features 90 women golf professionals from around the world. Five out of the eight 2019 top-money winners will compete at Beau Pre Country Club, including money leader Binny Lee from Frisco, Texas.
Other professional players include Britney Yada (Hilo, Hawaii), Riley Rennell (Columbia, Tennessee), Valeria Tanguay (Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec) and Elaine Wood (Spanish Fort, Alabama).
Individuals will compete in a 72-hole stroke play format with a cut after 54 holes to the top 40% of the starting field, including ties.
The winners will take a minimum of $7,500 guaranteed and an exemption into the Symetra Tour’s Windsor Classic in Windsor, California.
There will be a full slate of activities throughout the week. Attendance throughout the week is free to the public.
Round one will begin at 7:30 a.m. March 17 on No. 1 and No. 10 tees.
