VIDALIA — Criminals apparently worked their way around the Terry Circle neighborhood in a vehicle and residence burglary spree this weekend.
Filing of burglary reports started Sunday morning at the Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office, and continued throughout the day.
All totaled, eight vehicles and one residence were burglarized in the area.
An attempt to burglarize another residence in the 100 block of Terry Circle was apparently made but was unsuccessful.
According to reports at the CPSO, at a residence in the 100 block of Carolyn Drive two unlocked vehicles were burglarized, and two pistols were taken.
A single vehicle each was burglarized at two residences in the 100 block of Terry Circle.
A pistol was taken from one on the vehicles.
One residence in the 200 block of Terry Circle was reported as burglarized.
At another residence in the same block three vehicles were burglarized.
Likewise, a vehicle in the 300 block of Terry Circle was burglarized.
Though it is unknown if the incidents are related to the Terry Circle burglaries, Sunday at nearby Minorca Road a homeowner in the 500 block reported a camera was missing from the residence, and another resident reported a burglary on Audubon Acres.
A vehicle burglary was reported on Moose Lodge Road Saturday.
The CPSO is investigating the matter, Sheriff Randy Maxwell said.
