Frogmore– Services for Cornelius Roynell Jefferson, Sr., 38, who died Friday, Jan. 31, 2020 at Harbor Hospice in Lake Charles, LA will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8 at St. James Baptist Church with the Pastor Eddie Schiele, officiating.

Burial will follow at St. James Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from noon until service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. Jefferson was born Dec. 15, 1981, in Ferriday, the son of Cornelius ad Pamela Doris Jefferson Miles.

He is preceded in death by one son, D’Vonte Jeremiah Jefferson; maternal grandfather, Roy Jackson and paternal grandparents, Gus, Sr. and Eliza Miles.

Survivors include seven children, Cornelius Jefferson, Jr., Zalon Jefferson, Ashton Allen, Cor’Tavius Jefferson, Allanah Jefferson and Malaya Jefferson; his parents; maternal grandmother, Ethel Jackson; paternal step-grandmother, Lela Faye Miles; one sister, Tiosha Miles and husband, Keith; one brother Keiwaun Myles and wife, Tyteana Miles; his fiance’, Amanda Johnson; six aunts, Gloria Jefferson and husband, Horace, Tammy Smith and husband, Juan, Katina Watts, Glenda Jefferson, Sharon Jones and husband, Leroy and Tanya Miles; four uncles, Marvin Jefferson, Billy Jefferson, Charles Miles and Toney Fletcher and wife, Janice; a special aunt, Ethel Batiste and husband, Jeff; three nieces; a number of other relatives and friends.
