FERRIDAY— Services for Derrick Cottrell Lewis, 41, of Ferriday, who died Friday, Jan. 24, 2020, in Alexandria, Louisiana, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at New Morning Star Baptist Church in Ferriday with the Rev. Danny Lewis officiating.

Burial will follow at the Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 5 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Lewis was born Dec. 16, 1978, in Ferriday, the son of Edward Horace and Agnes L. Franklin.

He was preceded in death by one aunt, Mable Lewis Daniels.

Survivors include his father of Alexandria; his mother of Ferriday; maternal grandmother who raised him, Pearline Brown of Ferriday; two sisters, LaWanna Thomas and Sade Lewis of Dallas; four aunts, Tameka Lewis and Quintella White of Ferriday, Tunda Wannamaker and Renata Lewis of Dallas; two uncles, Robert L. Lewis and Toney Lewis Jr. and wife, Pamela, all of Ferriday.
