NATCHEZ — Adams County Special Operations Group officers said they arrested a Natchez man Tuesday morning on drug charges after a search warrant at a Wisteria Lane residence turned up drugs and weapons.

“When officers entered the residence, they encountered James E. Marsaw in the living room sleeping on the couch,” states a press release from the sheriff’s office. “As they proceeded through the rest of the residence, deputies encounter two small children . . .”

Deputies said the search turned up approximately 1 ounce of crack cocaine, 1 ounce

of powder cocaine, a small amount of marijuana, a razor blade used to cut the crack

cocaine, three digital scales and a loaded Glock .40 caliber handgun.

“All were found in close proximity of Marsaw,” the press release states.

Marsaw is currently out on felony bond for a sale of schedule 11 drug offense from 2018 and another felony bond for possession of a schedule 11 drug with intent

to distribute from an arrest on Aug. 28, 2019, which is waiting to be presented to the Adams County Grand Jury.

“Marsaw has been arrested and charged with possession of schedule 11 drug to wit

cocaine with intent to distribute and possession of schedule II drug to wit crack cocaine with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia,” the press release states. “The District Attorney’s Office has filed a motion in Circuit Court to revoke Marsaw’s bond.”
