STAMPLEY— Services for Harris “Shug” Brooks Sr., 80, of Roxie, who died Friday, Jan. 17, 2020, at Merit Health Natchez, will be noon Saturday at Pine Grove Baptist Church in Stampley, with the Rev. Willie Starks officiating.

Burial will follow at Zion Hill Church Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home’s Bude chapel and from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. Brooks was born March 23, 1939, in Roxie, the son of Harry and Bernice Brooks.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son.

Survivors include his wife; five children; one sister; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
