NATCHEZ– Memorial services for Stephen F. Trippe, 62, of Natchez, who died Thursday Jan.16, 2020, in Natchez, will be 2 p.m. today at St. Mary Basilica with the Rev. Scott Thomas officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 1 p.m. until service time Tuesday at the church.

Mr. Trippe was born May 16, 1957, in Natchez, the son of Clarence F. “Buck” Trippe and Carolyn Howell Trippe.

Steve was a member of St. Mary Basilica.  He enjoyed playing with his dog Remi, eating, reading and watching the St. Louis Cardinals play baseball.

Mr. Trippe was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include one brother, Chris Trippe of Natchez; one sister, Dianne Trippe Plowright and husband, Marcus, of London, Ontario; three nieces, Lauren Trippe Nobile, Amanda Trippe Williams and husband, Michael Austin, and Taylor Christian Trippe, and their mother, Melanie T. Bayba, all of Natchez; two nephews, Christopher Baden Plowright and Jackson Trippe Plowright of London, Ontario; four great-nieces, Lucy Kathryn Nobile and Ava Presley Nobile of Brookhaven, Reese James Williams and Trippe Patrick Williams, of Natchez; one uncle, “Fritz” Trippe and wife, Leigh, of Virginia; one aunt, Jean Good of Virginia; and a number of cousins in and around Cleburne, Texas.

Memorials may be made to the Natchez-Adams County Humane Society.
