VIDALIA— Services for Marjorie Lynch Bowman, 90, of Vidalia, who died Monday, Jan. 13, 2020, at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, Louisiana, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Vidalia Convention Center with the Rev. Louis Banks officiating.
Burial will follow at the Whitehall Cemetery in Vidalia, under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today with Eastern Star ceremonies at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Bowman was born Dec. 16, 1929, in Natchez, the daughter of Solomon Lynch Sr. and Josephine Lee Lynch.
She was retired from the Concordia Parish Council of Aging; a member of the Union Baptist Church; and a member of the Rosewood Chapter 65 Order of Eastern Star of Vidalia.
Mrs. Bowman was preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Joseph Bowman Jr. and Gregory Bowman.
Survivors include three daughters, Audrey Shepherd and husband, Jimmy, of Vidalia, Barbara Berry and husband, Melvin, and JoAnn Bowman, all of Detroit; one brother, Solomon Lynch Jr. of Shreveport, Louisiana; two grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and loved ones.
