LEXINGTON, Kentucky — Services for Larry Wayne “Cowboy” Richardson, 75, of Lexington, Kentucky, who died Monday, Jan. 13, 2020, at his residence surrounded by his family, will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home on Harrodsburg Road in Lexington with Gordon Walls officiating.

Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.

Larry was born in Maryland, the son of J.D. and Margaret Richardson.

He moved to Lexington in 1982 as general manager of Bluegrass Farm, which led to establishing multiple racing syndicates and other bloodstock ventures. He currently held the position of business development manager at Tufco Flooring.

He lived his best life surrounded by his family and many friends.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Jerry Richardson; and one sister-in-law, Donna McCranie.

Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Marilyn Richardson; his devoted sons, Justin and wife, Jessica, and Cody and wife, Daisy; cherished grandchildren, Rowlin, Reed, Annslee and Tate; he will be greatly missed by his mother-in-law, Beulah Stephens; nephew, Brand Richardson and wife, Tanya, and a number of nieces, nephews and extended family.
