FERRIDAY— Services for Johnny Ray Thomas, 67, of Monroe, Louisiana, formerly of Ferriday, who died Friday, Dec. 20, 2019, at his residence, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. James Baptist Church on Skipper Drive in Ferriday, with the Rev. Auburn Robinson Sr. officiating.
Burial will follow at the Ferriday Cemetery under the directions of Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. today at the Union Chapel Baptist Church, 3816 Segrest Mercy St., in Monroe.
Mr. Thomas was born Oct. 16, 1952, in Ferriday, the son of Sam Thomas and Sarah Mae Woodfork Thomas.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include five brothers, Joe Thomas, Richard Thomas and wife, Ingrid, Willie Thomas and wife, Audrey, all of Baton Rouge, Gip Thomas and wife, Octavia, of Orange, Texas, and J.D. Thomas of Tucson, Arizona; two sisters, Mildred Thomas of Monroe and Sarah Thomas of Ferriday; two uncles, John Hicks and wife, Selena, of Natchez and Abner Hicks of Sacramento, California; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
