NATCHEZ — Natchez Adams School District’s students will spread holiday cheer with a Christmas musical Thursday at the Natchez City Auditorium.
The music starts at 6 p.m. Thursday.
The show, called “It’s Christmas,” will feature string, choral and band performers from students in elementary through high school, Natchez Adams School District Superintendent Fred Butcher said.
“It is the perfect occasion for us to say thanks for your support throughout 2019 and to wish you a Merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous 2020,” Butcher said in a letter mailed out to individuals and businesses in the community.
The show will blend the talents of music departments from different campuses across the district, Director Tony Fields said.
“The community will get to hear our string ensemble and the combined middle school choirs, our three elementary school choirs and the middle and high school bands,” Fields said. “We will also have some dynamic soloists as well.”
Fields said students across schools have practiced for at least two months, and the show is all about the music.
“I tell you our students will be displaying some talent,” Fields said. “… We want the entire community to come out and show their support for them and appreciate the hard work they put into this performance.”
