GLOSTER — Services for Jeanette Stokes, 84, of Liberty, who died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2019, at her residence, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Gloster, with the Rev. Blaine Stafford, the Rev. Ellis Hollingsworth and the Rev. P.J. Walters officiating.
Burial will follow at Zion Hill Cemetery under the direction of Brown Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday, both at the funeral home.
Mrs. Stokes was born Oct. 17, 1935, in Amite County, the daughter of Earl Brewer Stokes and Julia Doris Huff Stokes.
Ms. Jeanette was an operator for AT&T and a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Earl Wayne Stokes and Jackie Stokes; and one sister, Marjorie Alcorn.
Survivors include one sister, Judy Herring and husband, Jerry; one brother, Roger Gail Stokes and wife, Mary; a number of nieces and nephews; one brother-in-law, Al Alcorn; and one sister-in-law, Barbara Stokes.
