FERRIDAY— Services for Margaret Hamilton McJimsey Lasyone, 70, of Vidalia, who died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2019, in New Orleans, will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Young’s Funeral Home Ferriday Chapel with the Rev. Glenn Harrigall officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from noon until service time Wednesday, both at the funeral home.
Margaret Hamilton McJimsey Lasyone was born Feb. 11, 1949, in Ferriday, the daughter of Howard Lee Hamilton and Mattie Tiffee Hamilton.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two husbands, Jerry McJimsey and Sid Lasyone.
Survivors include two sons, Jody McJimsey and fiancée, Brandy Havard, and Brian McJimsey and wife, Summer, all of Vidalia; eight grandchildren, Caleb McJimsey, Jerry McJimsey, Sydney O’Quinn, Gentry Brown, Kensley McJimsey, Zachary Riddick and wife, Mazzy, Trey Riddick, and Brittany Riddick; two great-grandsons, Jaiden Nolan and Elijah Riddick; one brother, John J.H. Hamilton and wife, Louise, of Vidalia; two nephews, Jay Hamiton and Timothy Hamilton; three stepchildren, Eric Lasyone, Brandon Lasyone and Danielle Lasyone; best friends, Billie Ruth Lofton and Carol Russell; and a number of other nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Pallbearers will be Roy Nugent, David Ray Scruggs, Andy Woods, Dustin Lisenby, Jewel Burr, Cass Butler, Dixie Don Hamilton and Jeff Woods.
Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Woods and Billy Byrnes.
