NATCHEZ— Services for Mildred Octavia Smith Brown, 97, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2019, at Adams County Nursing Home, will be 2 p.m. today at Morgantown Baptist Church in Natchez with the Rev. Talmadge Smith officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.    
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Brown was born Sept. 24, 1922, in Lincoln County, the daughter of William Allen Smith and Desdia Octavia Porter Smith.
She was a member of Morgantown Baptist Church, Easter Star, Adams County Homemakers and State Retiree.
Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clifton T. Brown; one daughter, Kathy Jackson; five sisters; and four brothers.
Survivors include a loving and devoted son, Gordon Brown and wife, Judy; one granddaughter, Melissa Brown; one grandson, Greg Brown and wife, Shannon; four great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
