FERRIDAY— Services for Rosa Mae Washington Elaine, 88, of Ferriday, who died Saturday, Nov. 16, 2019, in Baton Rouge, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Mt. Beulah Baptist Church in Ferriday with the Rev. Bishop Justin Conner officiating.  
Burial will be on Monday, November 25, 2019, at 12:30 p.m. at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 5:30 p.m. today with a “Celebration of Life” wake service at 5:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Visitation will continue Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time at the church.
Mrs. Elaine was born Sept. 18, 1931, the daughter of Barney Washington and Lucille Elliot Randall.
She was educated in the Concordia Parish School system and was a retired custodian with the Concordia Parish Schools after serving 33 years.  Rosa was a constable with the State of Louisiana for 25 years.  She was a member of the Mt. Beulah Baptist Church since 1947.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest K. Elaine and her parents.
Survivors include three daughters, Betty Authorlee, DeBorah Lynne Elaine-Jones and Eunice Denise Elaine-Bethley and husband, Kirk; a bonus daughter, Lucille Bryant Morris; eight grandchildren, Demarcus Lakeith Elaine, Norico Cordell Elaine, Yulonda Maudese Bethley, Dewayne Netter, Nicole Netter-Alexandria, GeNaro DeClay Jones, Kristen Darvis Jones, Dedrin Evare Jones; great- grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
