JACKSON— James D. Gilbert, 88, died peacefully Monday, Nov. 11, 2019, at Manhattan Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Jackson.
A private graveside service will be held under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Mr. Gilbert was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Hermann Gilbert; his parents, James M. Gilbert Jr. and Catherine Faler Gilbert; one brother, Lawrence M. Gilbert; and one sister, Sister Elizabeth Gilbert, O.S.B.
Surivors include one sister, Dot Bright and husband, Jim; two nieces, Teresa Speer and husband, Mike, and Lisa Wilburn and husband, Tony; and a number of great-nieces and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
