NATCHEZ– Services for Marion Faye Wilson Welch, 79, who died Friday, Nov. 01, 2019, in Natchez, will be 2 pm on Wednesday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Paul Southerland officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 1 p.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Welch was born Jan. 16, 1940, in Gulfport, the daughter of John Francis Standifer and Eula Mae Anderson Standifer.
Mrs. Welch was a resident of Natchez for 44 years and was a member of Highland Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She had a loving relationship with her granddaughter, Vickie, and enjoyed spending time with all of her grandchildren. She was friendly, giving, loved to sew, read and enjoyed gardening.
Mrs. Welch was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Grady Wilson Sr.; one daughter, Marion Vickalina Wilson; and four sisters, Mary Edwards, Caralin Thomas, Nora Mae Hicks and Margie Cretmore.
She is survived by one son, Grady “Cookie” Wilson and wife, Jennifer, of Natchez; one granddaughter, Victoria “Vickie” Wilson of Fort Polk, Louisiana; two grandsons, Alex Howell and Trey Wilson, of Natchez; one brother, Norman Standifer and wife, JoAnn, of Vicksburg; and the mother of her granddaughter, Brenda “BeBe” Wilson; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jack Norman, Rudy Wilson, Norman Standifer, Lavell Standifer, Scott Standifer and Tommy Hicks.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Rosemary Kiser

RIDGECREST— Services for Rosemary Kiser, 93, of Ridgecrest, who died peacefully at her home, Sunday, Nov. 3, 2019, will be noon today at Ridgecrest Baptist Church with the Rev. Dennis Baker and Denny Braswell officiating.
Burial will follow at Pine Ridge Presbyterian Cemetery in Natchez, under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at the church.
Mrs. Kiser was born July 25, 1926, in Natchez, the daughter of Willie and Cora Thornburg.
She was a lifelong resident of Ridgecrest and a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church. Rosemary and her husband enjoyed traveling and camping. She had a strong spirit and strong love for her family. She enjoyed family gatherings, cooking, and card games with her church ladies.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Roy Kiser Sr.; one son, Roy Charles Kiser Jr.; one great-grandson, Cam Fairbanks; her parents; and three brothers, Norman, Frank and J.C. Thornburg.
She is survived by two daughters, Joy K. Vestal and Jen K. Oxley and husband, Jerry, all of Jonesville; six grandchildren, Rowdy Sewell and wife, Marion, of Ruston, Louisiana, Candy Fairbanks of Jonesville, Derek Johnson and wife, Kristen, of Jena, Louisiana, Kyle Johnson and wife, Rose, of Alexandria, Louisiana, Kala Kiser and Tiffany Mannino; and 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Rowdy Sewell, Derek Johnson, Kyle Johnson, Hunter Key, Clay Fairbanks and Steve Edwards.
