NATCHEZ– Services for Mary Katherine Erdmann, 92, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Oct.30, 2019, in Natchez, will be 11 a.m. on Monday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Vidalia, with the Rev. Joseph Xavier officiating.
Burial will follow at Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Monday at the church.
Ms. Erdmann was born July 2, 1927, the daughter of Charles William Frederick Erdmann and Rose Mary Murphy Erdmann.
Mary Katherine was a native of Natchez and lived in Natchez her entire life.  She worked for the City of Natchez in the tax collector’s office, and was eventually elected tax collector.  She retired in 1990 after 43 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her three great-aunts, Agnes, Katherine and Rose, who raised her with her father after the death of her mother.
She is survived by Rose Mary Foley and husband, Bob, and family, Katherine M. Brown and husband, Ronnie, and family; her dog, J.J.; a number of cousins; and special friend Esther Dennis.
Pallbearers will be Michael Murphy, Ronnie Brown, Bob Foley and Ashley Weadock.
Memorials can be sent to the SPCA in Mary Katherine’s memory.
