FERRIDAY — At 3 p.m. today, the Ferriday High Trojans will have their homecoming parade.
The parade will start at Ferriday High School. The parade will proceed down EE Wallace Boulevard and turn left onto Louisiana Avenue. Finally, the route will turn right onto First Street and finish at Ferriday High.
Principal of Ferriday High Kimberly Jackson said she thinks having homecoming parades are awesome.
“It’s a time for the community to get together in fellowship,” Jackson said. “You will see a lot of people you haven’t seen in a long time. Most of all, it brings joy back to the school. We will have classes that will come back visiting and making donations.”
In this year’s homecoming parade, Ferriday High receptionist Venitra Davis said the parade would have 10 to 15 floats.
“We have a good group of students who are serving on our homecoming court,” Jackson said. “We want to welcome all alum from Ferriday High to come out and support us.”
