NATCHEZ— Services for Al Jerral “A.J.” Flowers, 77, of Natchez, who died Friday, Oct. 25, 2019, at Glenburney Nursing Home in Natchez, will be 2 p.m. Sunday at New Beginnings Baptist Church with the Rev. Leroy White officiating.
Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Park under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Natchez.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home’s Natchez chapel and from 1 p.m. until service time Sunday at the church.
Mr. Flowers was born April 14, 1941, in Adams County, the son of George and Mary Butler Flowers.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Donis Flowers; one son, LaDaniel Flowers; two sisters, Lillie Mae Bates and Georgia Thornburg; and one brother, Alonzo Flowers.
Survivors include five daughters, Lutanueal Flowers, Markeita Bradley, LaKenda Betton, Vee Firley, Doris Firley and Shirley Firley; one son, Roy Lee Firley, all of Natchez; three sisters, Josephine Bates, Mrytis Gordon and husband, Don, all of Natchez, and Beatrice Carter of Starkville; one brother, Charles Flowers and wife, Harriet, of Natchez; five granddaughters, Kashar Flowers of Louisiana, Sylvia Flowers, Angel Franklin, A’Miyah Smith and Aubree Knight, all of Natchez; five grandsons, Roy Flowers of Tennessee, LeMarcus Clark, DeMarcus Clark, Christian Washington and Steve Washington, all of Natchez; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
