Suspect in Oct. 20 shooting arrested

NATCHEZ — Natchez Police said a Natchez man is in custody facing charges in an Oct. 20 shooting that wounded a man in the upper torso.
Emanuel Hill, 18, was taken into custody Wednesday and faces charges on four counts of aggravated assault manifesting extreme indifference to the value of human life, a police report on the arrest states.
The shooting occurred at approximately 4:13 p.m. Oct. 20 in the area of the Heights as the victim drove along Watts Avenue, the police report states.
The victim was transported to University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.
“During the course of the investigation,” the police report states, “investigators learned that four individuals were riding in the vehicle through what is commonly called the ‘Heights’ and were shot at by a subject. After investigators interviewed several witnesses, the suspect was identified as Emanuel Hill. . . .”
