Prep Football Preview: Rivalry game in Ferriday

A full schedule of all 10 Miss-Lou high school football play today with three home games.
The Game of the Week is the rivalry game between Ferriday High Trojans hosting the Vidalia Vikings.
The two schools are eight miles apart from each other. Both Vidalia and Ferriday High have had up and down seasons.
Vidalia is on a four game-losing streak and are second to last in the District 2 Class 2A standings.
Meanwhile, the Trojans are on a five-game winning streak and are first in the District 2-2A standings.
The Vikings (1-5, 0-2) come into Friday’s game off of a 13-12 lost to District 2-2A foe in General Trass High School.
The Trojans (5-1, 3-0) are coming off of a 60-0 win over Madison High School last Friday night.
Last season, Vidalia lost 22-7 to Ferriday. The Vikings had defeated the Trojans before in 2017. The Vikings picked up a 20-12 victory.
The kickoff is set to start at 7 p.m. today at Meiz Field on Ferriday High’s campus.
Centreville Academy vs. ACCS
Centreville Academy Tigers (2-6, 1-1) at Adams County Christian School Rebels (6-2, 1-1), 7 p.m.
What’s at stake: Adams County Christian School Rebels need to win their next two games to have a chance to get a higher seeding in the MidSouth Association of Independent Schools Class 5A playoffs.
Cathedral vs. Amite School Center
Amite School Center Rebels (1-7) at Cathedral (6-2), 7 p.m.
What’s at stake: Cathedral High Green Wave need another victory to have a chance to host a MAIS Class 4A playoff game.
Natchez vs. Forest Hill
Natchez High Bulldogs (3-4, 1-2 Region 3-5A) at Forest Hill High Patriots (3-5, 2-1), 7 p.m.
What’s at stake: Natchez High Bulldogs need three games in their last four games of the Mississippi High School Athletic Association season to reach the Class 5A playoffs.
Delta Charter vs.
St. Frederick
Delta Charter Storm (2-4, 2-1 District 2-1A) at St. Frederick Warriors (4-2, 2-1), 7 p.m.
What’s at stake: The Storm try and turn around their season and earn another win against a District 2 Class 1A opponent. Both Delta Charter and St. Frederick are tied in the District 2-1A standings.
Sicily Island vs. Delhi
Sicily Island Tigers (2-4, 1-3 District 2 Class 1A) at Delhi High Bears (2-3, 0-3), 7 p.m.
What’s at stake: Both the Tigers and Bears attempt to stop their losing streaks. The Tigers are on a four-game losing streak while the Bears are on a three-game losing streak.
Port Gibson vs. Franklin County
Port Gibson High Blue Waves (1-7, 0-1 Region 7-3A) at Franklin County Bulldogs (0-2, 1-7), 7 p.m.
What’s at stake: Both teams need a win to clear their losing streaks away. The Blue Waves are on a three-game losing streak, while the Bulldogs are on a two-game losing streak.
Hazelhurst vs. Wilkinson County
Hazelhurst High Indians (2-5, 1-0 Region 7-3A) at Wilkinson County Tigers (2-6, 1-1), 7 p.m.
What’s at stake: The Tigers try to move to the top seed in the Region 7 Class 3A standings. The Indians are the top seed in the standings.
Jefferson County Tigers are on a bye week.
