NATCHEZ— Services for Alvin Lane “Al” Bacon, 71, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2019, at Merit Health Natchez, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mark Baptist Church No. 2 with the Rev. Kenneth Stanton officiating.   
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home’s Natchez chapel and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. Bacon was born March 30, 1948, in Natchez, the son of Clint Miller Sr. and Camille Elizabeth Bacon Wesley.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Stella Miller; two sons, Antonio Hunt and Jeffrey Hauer Sr.; one sister, Pamela N. Cartwright; and three brothers, Wayne Nelson, Karl Brown and Clint Miller Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Roy Bacon; six children, Stephen Harding and wife, Debbie, Alvin Travis Bacon and wife, Ericka, Yolanda Myles, Elizabeth Brooks and husband, Dandridge, Melanie Bacon and Joel Bacon; one sister, Betty Jefferson and husband, Percy; two brothers, Craig Nelson and Rodney Wesley; one sister-in-law, Victoria Thomas and husband, Roosevelt; 18 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; seven nieces; two nephews; and a number of other relatives and friends.
