NATCHEZ— Visitation for Annie Robson Dunmore, 85, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Sept. 12, 2019, at Adams County Nursing Center in Natchez, will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Zion Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Natchez.
A private burial will be held under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.
Mrs. Dunmore was born Oct. 8, 1933, in Natchez, the daughter of Bennie Robson Sr. and Annie Duncan Robson.
She received a bachelor of science degree in elementary education from Alcorn State University in Lorman, a master of science degree in education and a specialist of education degree from Jackson State University.
Mrs. Dunmore was a retired educator, having worked in Vidalia and Woodville for a number of years.
She was a member of Zion Chapel A.M.E. Church. She was also a member of the National Education Association, the Louisiana Association of Educators and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc.
Mrs. Dunmore was preceded in death by her parents; her step-parents, James Bernard and Bertha Robson; her devoted husband, Curtis Dunmore Sr.; her twin brother, Bennie Robson Jr. and brother, Clarence Robson Sr.; and two sisters, Ruth Bernard and Irene Bernard Lewis.
Survivors include four children, Angela Boykin of Ridgeland, Karl Dunmore and wife, Stephanie, of Baton Rouge, Curtis Dunmore Jr. of Natchez, and Carol Anne Dunmore of Lancaster, California; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one sister, Marcella Washington of Natchez; sister-in-law, Willa Robson of Baton Rouge; and a number of nephews, nieces, family and friends.
