The shooting injured a 29-year-old female and killed Christopher Lionel White Jr., 20.

The female’s ex-boyfriend, Christopher Randall, 25, was charged with murder and attempted murder.

Investigators reportedly returned to the scene of the incident and found a man driving a vehicle away from the property.

When deputies attempted to make a traffic stop a low-speed chase ensued and the driver lost control of the vehicle on Martin Luther King Jr. Road, bailed out of the vehicle and ran, officials said.

Thomas was identified as the driver and was charged with accessory to murder. However, the charges were later dropped in Justice Court, Adams County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Jerry Brown said.

“Further investigation showed that he was not trying to help the shooter,” Brown said. “The case is still under investigation.”
