Fayette-Funeral services for Mary Ellen Lowe Lee, 67, of Fayette, who died on Friday, August 30, 2019, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fayette will be on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Locust Grove Baptist Church with Bishop Curtis Smith officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m. Friday, September 6, 2019 at the Fayette branch.  Visitation will continue on Saturday, September 7, 2019, from 12:00 p.m. until time of the service at the church.

Mrs. Lee was born June 29, 1952, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Ella Mae Brown Lowe and Johnnie D. Lowe. She was a 1970 graduate of Liddell High School and was a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church. Mary enjoyed riding around town, watching television, cooking soul food and spending time with her daughters and granddaughters.

She is preceded in death by her husband: Willard Edward Lee; parents; and brothers: Johnny Lowe, Sr. and Charles Lowe.

Survivors include: two loving daughters: LaKotra Lee Anderson and husband Madrid and Lokenia Lee, both of Fayette; three granddaughters: Kenyierra Walker, Kej’trayanna Baker, and Grace Smith; three sisters: Tracy Lowe, Kinda Lowe Herrington and Bobbie Erves; one brother: Carl Lowe and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
