MEADVILLE — South Pike High School senior quarterback Dontavious Turner completed 11 of 13 passes for 219 yards with four touchdowns and, believe it or not, one interception in leading the Class 4A No. 4 Eagles to a 52-12 win over the Franklin County High School Bulldogs Friday night.

South Pike (2-0) scored all of its points in the first half — 22 points in the first quarter and 30 in the second quarter. The Eagles did it mostly through the air, but Cameron Reynolds had a pair of short touchdown runs. Alex Adams had five receptions for 155 yards and two touchdowns. Franklin County’s Trent Tindle threw touchdown passes of 47 yards to M.C. Covington and 12 yards to Louis Davis. On defense, Davis had seven tackles and one interception. Corey Ward had five tackles and one fumble recovery.

WOODVILLE — Brayson Boeta threw four touchdown passes, three of them to RJ Fisher and the other to Roderick Bailey, as the Wilkinson County Christian Academy Rams held on for a 41-24 win over the Ben’s Ford Christian School Eagles Friday night. The Rams jumped out to a 27-0 with 2:06 to go before halftime before the Eagles tried to make a comeback that would ultimately fall short. Bailey had 162 total yards from scrimmage and scored two touchdowns. Boeta threw for 211 yards on 5-for-10 passing while Fisher had four catches for 180 yards. Hunter Gaines led the defense with 18 tackles while Ben Sessions had eight tackles, one sack, and one forced fumble.

LIBERTY — The Wilkinson County High School Wildcats overcame a wild fourth quarter to defeat the Amite County High School Trojans 50-35 Friday night for their first win of the season. Wilkinson County led rival Amite County 30-13 as the third quarter was coming to an end before the clock malfunctioned and time had to be kept on the field.

Centreville Academy 12

FRANKLINTON, La. — The Bowling Green School Buccaneers scored two touchdowns in the fourth quarter to rally for a 14-12 win over the Centreville Academy Tigers Friday night.

Bowling Green was held scoreless for three quarters and trailed Centreville 6-0 with 3:07 to go in the third quarter. The Buccaneers took the first lead of the game with 9:34 left in the fourth quarter.

Centreville Academy (1-1) hosts Silliman Institute Friday at 7 p.m.
