NATCHEZ — Ella Rose Bequette may be small, but she shows a big love for being outside and playing in the world around her.
When The Dart landed near Northampton Road off U.S. 61 on Friday, Ella Rose’s parents, Sadie and Joseph Bequette, and her grandfather Justin Cavin sat and visited outside while watching the 19-month-old girl play with her toys on a hot summer evening.
“She loves to play outside,” Sadie said.
Ella Rose has only been walking for a few months, but she also loves to dance, swing on the swing and color, Sadie said.
In fact, one could say Ella Rose was so ready to be outside to play she couldn’t wait to come into the world as quickly as she could, Cavin said.
“She came into this world at 1 pound and 11 ounces,” Cavin said.
Joseph and Sadie said when Ella Rose was born a little more than a year and a half ago, she was approximately three months early and spent the first three months of her life in ICU at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.
“Now she’s 17 pounds,” Sadie said.
“She’s still smallest in her class at daycare, but she gets around very well to be so little,” Joseph said.
