NATCHEZ—Graveside memorial services for Virginia O’Beirne, 90, who died Friday, July 26, 2019, will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, 2019, at Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Rome, Georgia, with Stu Neflin of St. Mary’s officiating.
Virginia was born April 25, 1929, in Rome, the daughter of B.F. and Annie Mae Quigg.
She was a retired school teacher and a pro-life advocate for the unborn. She was a member of St. Mary’s Basilica in Natchez.
Mrs. O’Beirne was preceded in death by husbands, Horace Battey and L.R. Towson Jr.
Survivors include her husband, Daniel J. O’Beirne; four children, Carolyn Norris, Margaret Zachry, Anne Grant and Ginger Dover; and 10 grandchildren.
