NATCHEZ— Services for Gladys Marie Hawkins, 77, of Ferriday, who died Monday, July 22, 2019, at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, Louisiana, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Greater Mount Sinai Baptist Church in Natchez with the Rev. Eddie Schiele officiating.
Burial will follow at the Vidalia Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hawkins was born Feb. 6, 1942, in Natchez, the daughter of John and Mary Carter Hawkins.
She was a retired teacher for the Concordia Parish School System.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include one son, Anthony “Tony” Hawkins and wife, Lana, of Ferriday; one daughter, Trinona, of Monroe, Louisiana; two sisters, Rita Battle and Madeehah “Melba” Muhammed; a special cousin, William “Tiny” Bradsaw, all of Chicago; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
