NATCHEZ— Graveside services for James W. Jordan, 76, of Natchez, who died Saturday, July 20, 2019, at Merit Health Natchez, will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Natchez City Cemetery with the Rev. Scott Green officiating.
Burial will follow under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Jordan was born Aug. 9, 1942, in Drew, the son of Robert Jordan and Hattie Rea Minga Jordan.
He was a carpenter in Natchez for more than 40 years.
He was a loving husband and father to his children and grandchildren. He loved his pet dogs.
Mr. Jordan was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Robert Jordan; and one stepson, Jason Luby.
Survivors include his wife, Vicki Fatherree Jordan; two daughters, Nicole Jordan Brewer and Angela Jordan Seale of Natchez; one son, James Jordan Jr. of Natchez; three stepchildren, Tammy Todd of Greenville, Paul Luby and wife, Esta, and Walter Luby, all of Natchez; three grandchildren, Dylan Brewer and Christopher Britt, of Natchez, and Haley LeeAnn Jordan of Clayton; and two step-grandchildren, Jessica Luby Cruz and husband, Jeremy, of Natchez, and Tiffany Todd of Greenville.
