NATCHEZ— Services for Fred McCray Jr., 27, of Ferriday, who died Monday, June 24, 2019, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Pilgrim Baptist Church in Natchez with the Rev. Danny Tron Lewis officiating.       
Burial will follow at Consurella Cemetery in Waterproof under the directions of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Mr. McCray was born Dec. 30, 1991, in Bastrop, La., the son of Fred McCray Sr. and Dr. Carol K. Williams.
He was an educator at Morgantown Middle School in Natchez, where he recently was voted “Teacher of the Year 2018-2019,” a Kappa Alpha Psi, and Natchez and Infinity Krewe of Vidalia.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Henry Savage; three uncles, Zachary Washington, Michael Savage and Gary Savage; and one cousin, LaDrain Davis.
Survivors include his parents, his father; his mother and husband, Barry Williams, all of Ferriday; paternal grandparents, Ernest and Phyllis Ellis of Ferriday and James and Rhonda Coleman, Natchez; maternal grandmother, Laura Davis of Ferriday; godparents, Addison and Ima Thomas of Vidalia; four sisters, Tyniesha Woods and husband, Shond, of Pendergrass, Ga., Hailey Williams of Ferriday, Eriontae Smith and Shanrika Barnes and husband, Michael, of Baton Rouge; two brothers, Barrinton Williams of Ferriday and Barry Williams Jr. of Baton Rouge; two godbrothers, Addison Thomas Jr. and Roderick Ransom, both of Vidalia; 16 aunts, Debra Harris and companion, Rickey T.
