NATCHEZ— Services for Julia Irene Bacon, 86, of Natchez, who died Friday, June 21, 2019, at her residence, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Zion Hill Baptist Church No. 1 with the Rev. Joe W. Pickett officiating.   
Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home’s Natchez chapel and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Bacon was born Oct. 14, 1932, in Adams County, the daughter of Titus and Mary Davis.
She was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church No. 1 Missionary Ministry and a member of the Sunday school.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Peter Bacon; six sisters; three brothers; and one great-grandson.
Survivors include three daughters, Mary B. Williams, Andrea Jones and husband, Johnny, and Emma Davis; four sons, Willie J. Davis and wife, Carrie, Peter Bacon and wife, Peggy, Edward Bacon and wife, Debra, and Willie Bacon and wife, Pamela; 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
