THE NATCHEZ DEMOCRAT
NATCHEZ — McDonald Collision Dixie Youth baseball team completed their season with a record of 8-4, in the 11-12 year old age group.
“We had a gritty bunch of kids, and they never gave up,” said Dallas Bass, head coach. “We had 12 players on our team, and they all contributed to our success.”
Bass attributes the team’s success to their practices.
“Our coaches Josh McDonald and Lee Blanton and all 12 of our players were at every practice we had this year,” Bass said.
Two highlights on the year were Jordan Berry hitting a home run over the fence and Jacoby Gaines making a game changing catch in right field, Bass said.
“They picked each other up with big plays all year,” Bass said.
