NATCHEZ— Services for Noel Duane “N.D.” Fuller, 95, of Natchez, who died Sunday, May 26, 2019, will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at 4 p.m. at Remus Baptist Church Cemetery in Leake County, under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Fuller was born May 24, 1924, in Ash Grove, Mo., the son of Garland and Stella Fuller.
He served in the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. Hope during World War II and later the Korean Conflict. Before he was drafted, he began his career with Standard Oil Company (Chevron) in California. After completing his military service, he transferred to Mississippi where he worked for Chevron for 42 years before retiring in 1986.
N.D. always enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also looked forward to going to reunions of his U.S.S. Hope shipmates. He and his wife, Nancy, attended all 20 reunions that were held across the country.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Nancy Loree Fuller; his parents; and two sisters, Genevieve Williams and Jean Underwood.
Survivors include two sons, Rodney Fuller and wife, Diana, of Owensboro, Ky., and Kendall “Kim” Fuller and wife, Debbie, of Natchez; two brothers, Nathan and Jerry Fuller, both of Missouri; five grandchildren, Rebecca York and husband, Caleb, Lori Anne Coffey and husband, Ty, Jeff Fuller, Josh Fuller and fiancée, Hannah, and Sara Beth Fuller; and 10 great-grandchildren, Noah and Andrew York, Walt Coffey, Christian, Jordan and Kaylee Fuller, Graycen, Ayvree, Payzleigh and Kaycen Fuller.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cranfield Baptist Church.
