NATCHEZ— Services for Freddie L. Dawson, 66, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at Adams County Nursing Home in Natchez, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church.
Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. Dawson was born Oct. 10, 1952, the son of Willie Dawson and Delarius Webb Dawson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister-in-law, Renee Mackel Dawson; and one brother-in-law, Larry Brown.
Survivors include his loving wife, Lois Brown Dawson; one daughter, Frelika Dawson of Dallas; two sisters, Willie Mae Jones and husband, Eddie, and Bernice Turner and husband, Walter; two brothers, Arthur Dawson and wife, Shirley, and Robert Dawson and wife, Joyce, all of Natchez; two grandsons, Jacari Dawson and Ja’Shaun Smoot; three sisters-in-law, Betty Ward and husband, Fred, Curley Brown and husband, Elijah, and Mary K. Brown; five aunts, Pearlie Mealey and Arnetta Dawson of Baton Rouge, Rosie Dawson of Memphis, Tenn., Nell Dawson of Hattiesburg and Dorothy Covington of Natchez; and a number of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
