ST. JOSEPH, La. — Services for Katie Lee Miller Martin, 79, of Kansas City, Kan., formerly of St. Joseph, who died Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at the University of Kansas Health System Hospital in Kansas City, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Gold Bell Missionary Baptist Church in St. Joseph with the Rev. Adrian Lundy officiating.  
Burial will follow at the Union Fraternal Cemetery in St. Joseph under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Martin was born July 7, 1939, in St. Joseph, the daughter of George and Martha Jones Miller.
She was a member of Gold Bell Missionary Baptist Church and served on the mother’s board.
Martin was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, deacon Matthew “Daddy Map” Martin; and two brothers, George and James Miller.
Survivors include five sons, James Martin and wife, Sue, and Freddie Martin, all of Las Vegas, Willie Martin, Michael Martin and Donelle Martin and his wife, all of Ruston, La.; five daughters, Elnora Martin and Betty Martin Jones and husband, Bruce, all of Las Vegas, Constance Martin of Ruston, Diane Martin of Kansas City, and Mary Ann Martin Moore and husband, Troy, of Chicago; two sisters, Bertha Miller of Monroe, La., and Annie Lee Miller of Tallulah, La.; 23 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
