EVA, La. — Services for Jolene Weeks Finlay, 85, of Monterey, who died Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at her residence, will be 11 a.m. today at Eva Church of God with the Rev. Kevin Sims and the Rev. Lloyd Trisler Sr. officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at the church.
Mrs. Finlay was born Dec. 19, 1933, in Quitman, the daughter of Varney Preston Weeks and Martha McLemore Weeks.
She was preceded in death by one son, Richard “Ricky” Gordon Finlay and her parents.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Gordon Finlay; one son, James Benton Finlay of Monterey; one granddaughter, McKenzie Sorce; two great-grandchildren, Jayden Sorce and Gabriella Marie Sorce; and one sister, Carolyn Weeks White and husband, Jack, of Birmingham, Ala.
Pallbearers will be Dane Paul, Frank Calkins Jr., Darrell Brigman, Charles Calkins, Rick Sibley and Tommy Tiffee.
