FERRIDAY— Services for Kenneth Ray Griggs, 65, of Ferriday, who died Sunday, April 28, 2019, at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at New Morning Star Baptist Church with the Rev. Danny Lewis officiating.
Burial will follow at St. James Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Griggs was born March 27, 1954, in Ferriday, the son of Sylvester and Virginia Fletcher Griggs.
Survivors include one daughter, Kendra L. Griggs of Atlanta; five brothers, Russell Griggs and wife, Linda, of Galveston, Texas, Larry Griggs of Lamarque, Texas, Michael Griggs and wife, Rose, of Texas City, Texas, Kerry Griggs of Las Vegas, and David Griggs and wife, Sandra, of Reseda, Calif.; six sisters, Barbara Whitfield and husband, George, of Marana, Ariz., Tina Griggs of Shreveport, La., Lorrie Moore of Grand Hills, Calif., Sherry Griggs Miller of Mission Hills, Calif., Holly Watson and husband, James, of Long Beach, Calif., and Jennifer White and husband, Robert, of Cleveland, Ohio; two grandchildren, Jamal Edwards and Jeremiah Edwards of Atlanta; one uncle, Eddie Fletcher of Milwaukee, Wis.; two aunts, Bertha Williams and Theresa Williams of Houston; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and other friends.
