FERRIDAY— Services for Joe Johnson Sr., 65, who died Saturday, May 4, 2019, at his residence, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Concordia Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Louis Banks officiating.
Burial will follow at Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.      
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. Johnson was born Jan. 17, 1954, in Ferriday, the son of David Lawrence and Elsie Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Kenon Johnson; four brothers, Robert Lawrence, Willie Lawrence, Eddie Lawrence and Roy Warren; and three sisters, Rosie Lawrence, Shirley Lawrence and Geraldine Lawrence.
Survivors include one son, Joe Johnson Jr. and wife, Patricia; two daughters, Lakeisha Robinson and Kishanna Robinson, all of New Orleans; three brothers, Lavell Warren of Ferriday, Herman Johnson and wife, Deonka, of Westwego, La., and Johnny Lawrence of Vicksburg; three sisters, Bertha Johnson and Daisy Kaiser of Vicksburg and Mary Ann Bowser of Swanson, N.C.; one aunt, Ruby Lee Johnson of Ferriday; a special niece, Joyce Gaines of Ferriday; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a number of other nieces, nephews, cousins, caregivers and friends.
