NATCHEZ— Services for Luther Winston Jr., 66, of Natchez, who died on Tuesday, May 7, 2019, in Natchez, will be noon Saturday at New Beginnings Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. LeRoy White officiating.   
Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.
A celebration of life wake service will be at 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.  Visitation will follow the celebration and continue from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. Winston was born on July 23, 1952, in Natchez, the son of Luther Winston Sr. and Clyde Demby Winston.
He was a 1970 graduate of Sadie V. Thompson High School.
Luther was retired from Mississippi Power & Light, International Paper and Natchez Public Works.
He was preceded in death by his father; three daughters, Kenethia Woods-Carpenter, Erica Woods and Terrina Woods; one sister, Geraldine Wilson; and one sister-in-law, Ella Jones.
Survivors include his wife, Lillie Hargrave Winston; his mother; one son, Anthony Green; one daughter, Jordan Winston; three brothers, Edgar Winston and wife, Sabrina, Herman Winston and wife, Melissa, and the Rev. Johnny Elery; six sisters, Pernella Green, Dorothy Robinson and husband, Tennie, Besty Winston, Luvenia Gaylor, Donna Kemp and Wania Williams; seven grandchildren; three great- grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Ella Knight and husband, Percy, and Annie Hargrave; two brothers-in-law, Ike Hargrave Jr. and Charles Conner; and other relatives and friends.
