JACKSON— Services for Karl Wilson Knight, 71, of Jackson, who died Saturday, April 27, 2019, in Jackson, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at New Hope Baptist Church in Jackson with the Rev. Dr. Jerry Young officiating and at 11 a.m. Friday at Rose Hill Baptist Church in Natchez with the Rev. Kenneth Stanton officiating.     
Burial will follow the Friday service at Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Thursday at New Hope Baptist Church and from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at Rose Hill Baptist Church.
Mr. Knight was born Sept. 6, 1947, in Natchez, son of Hillery Joseph Knight and Ordemese Simpson Knight.
He was a graduate of Alcorn State University with a bachelor of science degree in sociology.
Karl was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jacque Knight.
Survivors include one daughter, Tracy Nicole Knight; one sister, Dorothy Lewis Davis; one granddaughter, Divine Golden Love; three nephews, Carlos Lewis, Mario Lewis and Maurice Lewis; ex-wife, Bobbie Knight; and other relatives and friends.
