NATCHEZ — Services for Edrena M. Washington, 77, of Natchez, who died Monday, April 15, 2019, at Merit Health Natchez, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Greater Macedonia Baptist Church with the Rev. Clifton Marvel officiating.   
Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Ms. Washington was born Oct. 21, 1941, in Natchez, the daughter of Thornton Minor and Edrena Bell Minor.
She earned a bachelor of arts degree in social work and was employed by Oxford Health Care.
Washington was a member of Greater Macedonia Baptist Church and served on the mother board and the missionary society. She enjoyed dancing and listening to James Brown’s music.
Washington was preceded in death by one sister, Lillie Mae Hines; three brothers, Glasper Minor, Thornton Minor and Willie Lee Minor; and one grandson, Kenton Dukes.
Survivors include one daughter, Leslie Woods; two grandchildren, Tasheka Chatman and Benyale Davis; nine great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends.
