NATCHEZ— Services for Meta Corley, 85, of Ferriday, who died Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at Camelot Leisure Living, will be 11 a.m. today at McNeely Church of God with the Rev. Tim Vanier officiating and Theresa Johnson as eulogist.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time today at the church.
Mrs. Corley was born Aug. 10, 1933, in Bougerie, La., the daughter of Carl Stewart and Clara Lofton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Henry L. Corley; one son, Mike Corley Sr.; grandson, “Lil Mike” Corley Jr.; and one sister, Ola Mae Johnson.
Survivors include two loving daughters, Linda Bonnette and husband, Cilton, and Carmel Corley; six grandchildren, Sandra Vanier and husband, Tim, Joey Bonnette, Jeff Bonnette, Jennifer McCarty, Carla Curry and husband, Curtis, and Christi Staggs and husband, Lee Jr.; 15 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Marion Stewart and wife, BJ, and R.L. Stewart, who will miss her dearly.
Pallbearers will be Chris Morace, Scott Bonnette, Cody Nelson, Caleb Corley, Derek Vanier and Curtis Curry.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joey Bonnette, Jeff Bonnette, Davy Johnson, Keister Dillinger and Lee Staggs.
The family extends a special thanks to Penny Crain, Erica Wilkes and Bertha King for their dedication to Mrs. Corley during her time of need.
