MANIFEST, La. — Graveside services for Mary Joe Crawford Mullins, 68, of Vidalia, who died Saturday, April 20, 2019, in Ferriday, will be 3 p.m. today at Heard Cemetery in Manifest, La., with the Rev. Ron Ledford officiating.
Burial will follow under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from noon until 2 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Mullins was born July 7, 1950, in Bossier City, La., the daughter of John J. Crawford Sr. and Janette Beebee Crawford.
She was a loving wife and mother. She enjoyed playing guitar and being outside, normally tending to her rose bushes. She was once named the “Rose Lady of Vidalia.” She will forever be loved and truly missed.
Mullins was preceded in death by her parents and one sister-in-law, Margaret Anne Pregeant.
Survivors include her husband of 37 years, James “Moon” Mullins; one son, Jeremy Mullins and wife, Lori, of Vidalia; three grandchildren, Amie, Anna and David; and one brother, John J. Crawford Jr. and wife, Mary, of Mobile, Ala.
Pallbearers will be Allan Prunty, Tim Vanier, Derek Vanier, Jamie Welch, Matthew Ashley and Ollie “Buddy” Jordan.
Honorary pallbearers will be RV Mize, Winford Mize, Louise Crooks and Hallet Pregeant.
